DCC Decoder Installations
A few years back, I made the jump fromDC/block control of the trains to DCC (digital command control). Fortunately, the block wiring accomodated the new system fairly well, but the locos were a different matter. Except for several narrow gauge DCC Blackstone K-27s, the rest needed to have DCC decoders if they were ever going to run using this contemporary means of loco control. Here are some of the installation stories. I encourage you to take the plunge and move to DCC. It allows you as the engineer to do things that DC just can't match.
